一畑電鉄5000系 / Ichibata Renewal Train

鉄製車両を活用したエコデザイン 出雲大社号。

京王5000系車両をベースに地域性を考慮した車両内外リニューアルデザイン。デザインに船舶のイメージを盛り込み、日本海と宍道湖の間を走行する風景にマッチさせた。
インテリアは観光車両と通勤通学車両双方に使いやすく配慮し、数々の改造を施した。

A redesigned interior and exterior of the vehicle based on the Keio 5000 series vehicle that takes into account regional characteristics. The image of the ship was incorporated into the design to match the scenery between the Sea of Japan and Lake Shinji.
The interior has been remodeled to make it easy to use for both tourist and commuter vehicles.

観光客向け、あるいは地元利用者にも小さな旅気分を味わってもらう車両として、2100系と同じく京王電鉄5000系の改造車だが内容が異なる。前面は展望を意識した非貫通で、中央窓を拡大、側面は中央扉を廃止し2扉化。

塗装カラーリングは、空と雲が宍道湖に映り輝くさまを表す「藍と白」、出雲大社の伝統への畏敬、厳粛な気持ちを表す「黒」をイメージしたものに一新。
室内はセミクロス配置、クロス部は1＋2配置で、１人掛けは背もたれ転換式、２人掛けは回転式とした。モケットは明るいブルー。

地域に寄りそう鉄道車両として様々なデザイン案を検討した。
